Learn MoreRev. Mary P. Thomas was born in Milledgeville, GA to the late Dea. Felton Green, Sr. and Mother Annie J. Green of Baldwin County. Rev. Thomas is the second oldest of 4 siblings. She has two sisters, Mattie K. Green, Sheila A. Green, and brother Felton Green, Jr. (deceased) Rev. Thomas is married to Dea. Alvin K. Thomas. They have three children. Calvin Freeman, III, Horatio C. Freeman, and Chanerica Barnes. She also have 7 grandchildren. Rev. Thomas was called to the ministry of preaching and teaching April 15, 2007. She was ordained and licensed February 8, 2009 under the leadership of Rev. Milton Rollins of Union Missionary Baptist Church, East Baldwin. Rev. Thomas was the president of the adult usher board for 7 years, and she formed the youth usher board as well. During the formation of the youth ushers, a youth step praise and dance team was formed. She has also created a singing group named Traveling Anointed Praisers. In June 2009, Rev. Thomas studied at Minnesota Theological Seminary affiliated with Georgia Bible College. Rev. Thomas has her B.S. degree and has plans to further her Christian education by obtaining her doctoral degree in biblical studies of theology and Christian clinical counseling. Rev. Thomas' motto is: "for the love of learning" Rev. Mary P. Thomas is currently working at NBCOC as an associate minister. Some of her greatest passions are being a servant, preaching, and teaching God's word, planting seeds and watching God's people grow.
Rev. Artha L. Grace is our Pastor Emeritus. He was born in Elko, Georgia in Houston County. I am the oldest of four sons to the parentage of Arthur and Favie Grace. I have been blessed with three children, Ginetta Grace Trapp, Artha Gerald Grace (deceased) and Minister Reginald L. Grace (deceased). I have three grandchildren Artha Justin Grace, Renee Grace Trapp, and Reginald Clayton Trapp. I am married to Sis. Nanetta Grace. My educational journey began in Perry, Georgia where I received my high school diploma. I earned a bachelor's degree in Resource Management from Troy State University, a Masters of Divinity from Emmanuel Bible College and a Doctorate of Ministry and Pastoral Care from Georgia Bible College an affiliate of Minnesota Theological Seminary. After graduation from high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served more than 22 years in the US Army retiring at the rank of major. The military afforded me the opportunity to serve in Nurnberg and Berlin, Germany, South Korea, Panama Canal Zone, Vietnam and many stateside assignments. During my military career in the Army, I earned numerous awards and decorations. certificates and letters of commendation. I was the Pastor of NBCOC for 20 years. Now, I am the Pastor Emeritus. Where our motto is: "Thoughts Become Things and Great people are ordinary people with an extraordinary amount of determination." I am a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, as well as a Chaplain for the Peach County Sheriff's Department.
